External Material
CCM uses Speed Skin material on the AXIS A1.9, currently one of the lightest skins used in the goalie world. CCM is taking a “don’t fix what isn’t broken” approach when it comes to the skin on their gear.
Break Angle
The first thing you’ll notice about the AXIS A1.9 is not only that it’s more comfortable, but also that it is truly game ready. The break angle is the same as past CCM trappers, but by no means is the glove the same. Pocket Design
CCM’s AXIS A1.9 trapper features a double straight T pocket design. The double straight T increases visibility for the goalie when searching for pucks during a scramble. Additionally, the double straight T offers a wider pocket for increased surface area and a decreased chance of a popout.
